1) Rubber Pads :
Rubber Pads/ Grooved Rubber Sole Plates are made up of rubber or plastic to dampen the shocks of vibrations of a passing train.
Specifications
- We can supply rail pads of thickness ranging from 5mm to 25mm thick.
- Pads made of metal bonding are used to reduce extensive vibrations.
Grooved Rubber Sole Plate (GRSP) is one of the critical track fittings.
2.1 Purpose of Rail Pads:
Pads are required to be interposed between rail and
concrete sleeper for
the following reasons:
l To provide conforming surface to protect sleeper top
against wear and impact.
l To provide resilience for rail vibration.
l To provide higher creep resistance.
l To provide electrical resistance.
